He talks. He violates his own fucking confidentiality agreement. And he’s only the key witness in the biggest public health reform issue, maybe the biggest, most-expensive corporate-malfeasance case in U.S. history. And Jeffrey Wigand, who’s out on a limb, does he go on television and tell the truth? Yes. Is it newsworthy? Yes. Are we gonna air it? Of course not. Why? Because he’s not telling the truth? No. Because he is telling the truth. That’s why we’re not going to air it. And the more truth he tells, the worse it gets!
Sharon Tiller: You won.
Lowell Bergman: Yeah? What did I win?

Todos deberían tener al menos una.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Contrary to popular belief, the film does not depict factual events, but instead was (like the films Psycho, Deranged, and The Silence of the Lambs) loosely inspired by Ed Gein, who, while he did wear human skin, acted alone and did not use a chainsaw. Those who believe the film was based on actual events will try to back up their statements by referring to similar events in Texas, none of which had anything to do with the film. Although the film’s opening would have one believe that the events are factual, it is merely a scare tactic, called the false document technique, to frighten the audience.

Dominoeing…

My name is Domino Harvey. I am a bounty hunter. You’re probably wondering how a girl like me arrived here. What I say will determine whether or not I spend the rest of my life in prison. Let’s start at the beginning.

Domino Harvey (August 7, 1969 in London – June 27, 2005) was a English-born fashion model turned Los Angeles bounty hunter, notable within that field for being female, rebellious, and from a privileged background.
The daughter of Lithuanian-born Jewish actor Laurence Harvey and his third wife and widow, British fashion model Paulene Stone, she was reportedly named after Bond girl Domino Derval from the movie Thunderball ).
In and out of drug rehabilitation for years, on May 4, 2005, she was arrested for allegedly dealing methamphetamines. She was awaiting trial and under house arrest at the time of her death.

16 Blocks (2006)
•Agosto 7, 2006 • Dejar un comentarioRichard Donner / Bruce Willis – Mos Def
Frank Nugent: You Still There, Jack?
Jack Mosley: Yeah, I’m Still Here.

Y encima insiste: “Fuck the Truth!”

Hontar: We must work in the world, your eminence. The world is thus.
Altamirano: No, Señor Hontar. Thus have we made the world… thus have I made it.
Gabriel: If might is right, then love has no place in the world. It may be so, it may be so. But I don’t have the strength to live in a world like that, Rodrigo.
Cabeza: I cannot challenge him. His cloth protects him.
Mendoza: My cloth protects you.
[Last Lines]
Altamirano: So, your Holiness, now your priests are dead, and I am left alive. But in truth it is I who am dead, and they who live. For as always, your Holiness, the spirit of the dead will survive in the memory of the living.
Altamirano: Tell them they must leave the missions. They must submit to the will of God.
Gabriel: They say it was the will of God that they came out of the jungle and built the mission. They don’t understand why God has changed his mind.
Mendoza: For me there is no redemption, no penance great enough.
Gabriel: There is. But do you dare to try it?
Mendoza: Do you dare to see it fail?
[Mendoza is repeatedly dragging a load of armor up a cliff as penance for killing his brother]
Fielding: How long must he carry that stupid thing?
Gabriel: God knows.
Altamirano: With an orchestra, the Jesuits could have subdued the entire continent.
John 1:5: The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.

Turn Around, Look At Me
The Vogues
There is someone walking behind you,
turn around, look at me.
There is someone watching your footsteps,
turn around, look at me
There is someone who really needs you,
here’s my heart in my hand.
Turn around, (turn around,) look at me,
(look at me,) understand,understand,
That there’s someone who’ll stand beside you.
Turn around, look at me.
And there’s someone who’ll love and guide you.
Turn around, look at me.
I’ve waited, but I’ll wait forever for you to come to me.
Look at someone (look at someone) who really loves you,
yeah, really loves you. Turn around, look at me.

- As in the first two movies in the series, the names of several characters are references to horror film makers. The character “Lewis Romero” is an homage to the horror directors Herschell Gordon Lewis and George A. Romero. The character, “Jason Robert Wise,” is a reference to Robert Wise, director of ‘The Haunting (1963)’

Maccus: Turns out not even Jack Sparrow can best the devil!
Davey Jones: I *am* the sea.

The dice game that Will Turner plays with Davy Jones is called Liar’s Dice, a gambling game where each player has to make consecutively higher bids based upon how many of each die they claim are on the table (two threes, four fives, etc.), until a player is called a liar, in which case all the dice are shown and it’s seen if the bid is correct.
